If you love playing with water than you’ll love this game. In Hydroventure (also known as Fluidity) you take control of water to solve the games challenging puzzles. You do this by tilting the Wii Remote, causing the world to move. I haven’t played much of the game yet but I have seen puzzles where you have to freeze the water to ice. The games seems to have big areas, with a bunch to do, which justifies it’s asking price of 1200 Nintendo Points.

I was shocked when I went to download this game, it seems my SD card was full. Damn, I have downloaded so many Virtual Console and WiiWare games. I had to delete 2 demos that I hadn’t deleted yet to give me room. Looks like I will have to buy a bigger SD card for the future. A demo for Hydroventure is available, so go ahead and give it a try.

Cave Story

I had been following Cave Story for a while now and have watched those lucky Americans get both the WiiWare and DSiWare versions of the game, while we got nothing. But today we Europeans are lucky enough to download the game for 1000 Nintendo Points, 200 cheaper than USA.

I hate when people describe a game by saying it’s a hybrid of other games… but Cave Story is a cross between Mega Man and Metroid, with a hint of Legend of Zelda. Any Wii owner should definitely check out the demo if they love old school NES/SNES games or whip out the £7 for the full version.

I love new-old games, such as Cave Story and Mega Man 9 & 10. I just wish more developers would make classic 2D games!
